MetroMorphosis is currently seeking a Sr. Communication Catalyst to join our Communications team. This individual will support the development of an asset-based narrative that informs and empowers people and supports community transformation. The successful candidate will be responsible for co-creating and executing MetroMorphosis’ communications strategy that not only educates, but also mobilizes communities. If you have a strong background in non-profit communications and organizational storytelling, we encourage you to apply.
The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, public relations, or related roles, with a proven track
record of success in nonprofit or advocacy organizations - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and
compelling manner - Strong proficiency in using communication tools, content management systems, and social media platforms
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple projects
simultaneously
Responsibilities:
- Co-creating and executing comprehensive strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals
- Collaborating with senior leadership to ensure efforts are integrated with overall organizational strategies
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with various media entities
- Developing and distributing compelling content for various channels
- Ensuring all content aligns with the organization's brand and messaging guidelines
- Monitoring performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to optimize reach and impact
- Proactively identifying and addressing potential reputational risks
- Facilitating effective internal communication channels
- Fostering relationships with various stakeholders
- Developing and managing the communications budget

MetroMorphosis is currently seeking a Community Impact Catalyst to lead various initiatives focused on building inclusive economies in under-resourced Baton Rouge communities. The CIC works in partnership with MetroMorphosis leadership to identify community needs and resources, to connect community members and partner organizations to resources and services, and to cultivate and nurture relationships with community assets. If you have a strong background in program management and community engagement, we encourage you to apply.
The ideal candidate:
- Experience in program and/or project management
- Small Business Development and Community Engagement experience preferred
- Ability to effectively work both independently and with teams and partner organizations, preferably in communities of color
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Proficiency in using technology including word processors, spreadsheets and presentation software
- Experience working on collaborative efforts
- Ability to manage multiple projects with deliverables simultaneously
- Weekend and evening availability

Responsibilities
Community Engagement (45%)
- Cultivating expertise on the BR small business ecosystem and resources
- Representing MM at partner, community and ecosystem events, programs and engagement opportunities
- Serving as the central point of contact between key partners, clients and the MetroMorphosis team
- Navigating community systems and resources and providing meaningful connections to services to reduce barriers to access
- Facilitating training sessions and partner engagements
- Establishing and maintaining visibility for MM and its initiatives
Program Management (45%)
- Ensure program focus on companies committed to hiring from or performing services in under-resourced Baton Rouge communities
- Building and leveraging Catalytic Partnerships Monitor and evaluate outcomes, adjusting strategies as needed for maximum impact
- Supporting the ongoing process of developing new solutions and strategies that lead to intended impacts
- Planning and preparing programmatic agendas, materials, and engagements
- Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions and venues for strategy implementation
- Providing clients with individualized support
Administration and Communications (10%)
- Preparing reports, summaries, and replies to inquiries
- Maintaining all strategy and project records
- Compose copy and content to support communications and promotion of initiatives
- Exploring research and gathering data to inform programming and communications
- Other tasks as assigned

Community/Stakeholder Engagement (50%)
- Develop and implement strategies to engage with community residents, local organizations, and stakeholders.
- Identify, engage and confirm individuals to serve on Community Advisory Board
- Serve as the central point of contact between community residents, key partners, clients and the MetroMorphosis team
- Facilitate stakeholder engagements
- Represent MM at partner, community and ecosystem events, programs and engagement opportunities
- Establish and maintain visibility for MM and its initiatives
Program Management (30%)
- Ensure program focus on companies committed to hiring from or performing services in under-resourced Baton
Rouge communities - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement initiatives, making adjustments as needed.
- Partner with the project team to design and implement initiatives that address community needs and priorities.
- Plan and prepare programmatic agendas, materials, and engagements
- Assist with the coordination and facilitation of workshops, training sessions, and other capacity-building activities
for community members. - Collaborate with staff on new ideas, directions and venues for strategy implementation
Administration and Communications (20%)
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication between the project team and the community (CAB and community stakeholders).
- Prepare and distribute communication materials to keep relevant stakeholders informed about project updates, upcoming engagements, and opportunities for involvement
- Prepare reports, summaries, and replies to inquiries
- Maintaining all strategy and project records
- Compose copy and content to support communications and promotion of initiatives
- Explore research and gather data to inform programming and communications
- Other tasks as assigned
