MetroMorphosis is currently seeking a Sr. Communication Catalyst to own the development of an asset-based narrative that informs and empowers people and supports community transformation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing MetroMorphosis’ communications strategy and campaigns that not only educates, but also mobilizes communities. If you have a strong background in non-profit communications and organizational storytelling, we encourage you to apply.
The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or related roles, with a proven track
record of success in nonprofit or advocacy organizations - Strong leadership skills, with experience managing others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and
compelling manner - Proficiency in using communication tools, content management systems, and social media platforms
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple projects
simultaneously
Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing comprehensive strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals
- Collaborating with senior leadership to ensure efforts are integrated with overall organizational strategies
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with various media entities
- Developing and distributing compelling content for various channels
- Ensuring all content aligns with the organization's brand and messaging guidelines
- Monitoring performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to optimize reach and impact
- Proactively identifying and addressing potential reputational risks
- Facilitating effective internal communication channels
- Fostering relationships with various stakeholders
- Developing and managing the communications budget

Hours:
This is a full time salaried position in a hybrid in- office/work from home environment.
Compensation:
$55,000/ year plus health and dental benefits, 401K

Founded in 2012, MetroMorphosis is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to transform urban communities from within. Through this mission, we mobilize people to design and implement sustainable solutions to persistent challenges.
MetroMorphosis seeks a highly- motivated and organized individual to play a key role in fostering inclusive economies through fund development. The person in this role will work closely with MetroMorphosis team members, stakeholders, and funding partners to drive a development strategy and implementation that align with the organization’s mission and support the organization’s goals. It is also an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of non- profit work while supporting the work of a local, community- based organization.
The ideal candidate:
- Will be CFRE-certified
- Will have experience in fund development, investor relations and grant writing and reporting
- Will have the proven ability to manage projects with adherence to timetables and outcome measures and able to
make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments. - Will have some knowledge and experience with collective impact initiatives and systems change efforts
- Must be self-motivated, self-organized, detailed oriented, and able to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Must have enthusiasm for the mission and vision of MetroMorphosis
Responsibilities:
- Developing internal processes for donor relationship development, fund development and grants management
and ensuring accurate and effective use of organizational resources - Developing and managing a yearly fund development campaign that includes corporate giving, foundation
grants, and small-scale individual donors - Cultivating and maintaining relationships with current and prospective donors on a local and national level
- Communicating the organization’s impact to current and potential funders through the timely delivery of
accurate reports - Securing a minimum of 50% of the proposed operating budget through fund development activities.
