Transforming Communities from Within

MetroMorphosis, whose mission is to transform urban communities from within, was founded by chief executive catalyst Raymond A. Jetson in 2011 and has since been an integral part of the change efforts in Baton Rouge. During this yearlong celebration MetroMorphosis aims to celebrate the history of the organization, their partners and most importantly the people of the community that have been vital in working to co-create a Baton Rouge community for all to thrive in and be proud of.

We're celebrating 10 Years of transforming urban communities from within with a week of events & announcements.

MetroMorphosis is launching the 10 for 10 Community Fund as a part of its 10 Year Celebration. This effort is designed to promote community-led change making. Ten change-efforts will be selected to receive $1,000 and strategic support through MetroMorphosis and its partners. By investing in these projects at the neighborhood level, the organization seeks to support the selected organizations or individuals who own the change they wish to see and mobilize others to help make their communities more vibrant, thriving places to live and work. The application will be made available to the public on May 16, 2022 at 8am CST.

We are proud to announce the Black Futures Quilt Project and Archive. We are collecting oral histories that highlight Black life and history in Baton Rouge, alongside hopes and visions for the future as a part of our Black Futures Quilt Project and Archive. We need YOUR voices to make this archive as robust and diverse as possible. We invite you to share your story with us by scheduling a 15 minute call and telling us about your Baton Rouge memories.
