Bethany Blackson has been with the Louisiana Department of Health since 2018. Before being named Chief of Staff, Bethany served as the Director of Governmental Relations at LDH.
Prior to her work with LDH, Bethany worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office where she led the Child in Need of Care Unit. Additionally, Bethany served as staff attorney for the Louisiana House of Representatives where she staffed the Health and Welfare Committee.
Bethany earned her J.D. in 2014 from Southern University Law Center and her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in 2011.
