MetroMorphosisPress Releases

For Release May 15, 2022

Baton Rouge, La – Today, MetroMorphosis announced that applications for the 10 for 10 Community Fund are open. As a part of its  10 Year Celebration, MetroMorphosis is investing $10,000 into 10 community change efforts in Baton Rouge. The effort is designed to promote community-led change making in neighborhoods. Each change-effort will receive $1,000 and strategic support. By investing in these projects at the neighborhood level, MetroMorphosis seeks to support the organizations or individuals who do the work daily and mobilize others to help make their communities more vibrant, thriving places to live and work.

The organization believes that community members and people with lived experiences who interact and maneuver the challenges in their communities are the ones who must be supported in developing and executing the solutions. At the core of the organization, there has always been a belief that people must lead and own the change that they wish to see. The 10 for 10 Community Fund serves as a resource to do so.

“We envision a critical mass of engaged citizens equipped and developed to own the vital role of positively impacting their neighborhoods.  By investing dollars and strategic support in 10 change efforts around Baton Rouge, we hope to not only assist those with great ideas or those already doing the work, but also encourage them  to seek out additional resources, tools and people who aim to make an impact for years to come.” Raymond A. Jetson, Chief Executive Catalyst.

The ideal candidate for this award are community members who live and/or work in inner-city  Baton Rouge, are interested in transforming their neighborhood, and have a project or idea that will motivate others to share the responsibility and desire to influence the community beyond this particular project.
