Here Are Some Ways to Develop Your Business

Small businesses are a critical piece of building economically inclusive communities that support the development of the communities we are working to transform. We are happy to be in the business of supporting  Baton Rouge’s small, emerging Black, woman, minority and veteran owned businesses in accessing capital, building capacity and connecting to contracts.

Having access to capital is an important factor in scaling your business, building your capacity and being competitive in your market.

The New Corp Micro Loan ($5K – $25K) is available to a variety of small businesses and they offer 4 different loans to best support businesses where they are. To qualify for this loan businesses must schedule a 30-minutes consultation with Sylvester Johnson (Slyvester@newcorpinc.com), Business Development  Officer and submit last year tax returns (personal or business) & proof of income.

The MetroMorphosis Revolving Loan Fund is offering up to $10K to small businesses who have operated for two years, and can provide financial documentation.

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC), Service Corp of Retired Executive (SCORE) and Louisiana Minority Business Development Agency are all offering trainings throughout the month of November around a variety of topics including, but not limited to financing your business, obtaining certifications, winning grants and more.
