We’re Thankful for an Impactful November

MetroMorphosisNewsletters

It’s no secret that our sweet spot is convening a strategic group of individuals around a common goal. We’ve done this for well over a decade, and a few Fridays ago, we did it again with the inaugural C3 Summit.

Change-makers from nearly 20 local organizations gathered for a half-day experience centered around “the three Cs”: Creativity, Collaboration and Capacity.

In addition to these partners, we were also honored to once again host our friends from the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative (ALI). As many know, Raymond, our Chief Executive Catalyst, completed the ALI Fellowship in 2010. That experience birthed MetroMorphosis and for many years following, he invited them to Baton Rouge for a weekend experience. Each time they have come, they generously offer their expertise and support for which we are incredibly grateful.

Moments in the Movement

This month, the MetroMorphosis team is intentionally supporting and engaging citizens to be a part of the change they wish to see by:

  • Fundraising to support change makers through the Urban Leadership Development Initiative
  • Hosting Election Day Activities

Support ULDI

On Monday, November 14th we launched a campaign to raise $5,000 to support our work of developing change makers through the Urban Leadership Development Initiative (ULDI).

ULDI engages individuals committed to impacting their communities in a year-long experience to equip them with the tools and knowledge necessary to develop their practice of leadership.

Your donation will help us cover the cost of books, curriculum, meals and access to leadership practitioners that will aid in facilitation throughout the experience.

This Giving Tuesday, donate to ULDI and help ensure our communities have the people they need to thrive!

Civic Engagement

MetroMorphosis hosted an Election Day caravan and canvassing event with volunteers to encourage community members to vote. While some races have already been called, others have gone to a runoff (special election) which is scheduled for Saturday, December 10.
